Before you order

Every piece mounts with wall anchors (included). Find studs where you can — drywall anchors alone will hold, but studs are better under the pieces a cat will jump onto hard. Space the steps 12–16 inches apart vertically; further for a young athletic cat, closer for a senior or a heavier one. Start the lowest step around 18 inches off the floor so any cat can get on.
